The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Worldwide, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, has revealed that his ex-girlfriend was shocked when she discovered he was the one to pray for her sick child as a pastor.
He revealed this on Sunday in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, during a Special Holy Ghost Congress.
Adeboye, at the congress with the theme: “Promoted for a purpose,” said: “Unlike your experience at salvation nowadays, when I got born again and became pastor, I no longer yielded to the carnal cravings.
“It happened that before I got born again, I was rotten, I mean really rotten.
“I had many girlfriends.
“And this particular one, what I did with her was awful.
“Of course, I won’t tell you.
“But after I became pastor, I got married, and my ex-girlfriend got married.
“One day, she came to our church to seek healing for his child, who could not walk.
“When she got to her turn and she saw me, she was surprised.

“She asked to see the pastor, and I told her that I’m the pastor.
“She retorted: ‘You? You mean you will pray and God will hear?’
“And I said yes.
“And we prayed a simple prayer and the child began to walk.”
