Enugu APC governorship candidate’s supporter shot dead in Eze’s house

The Enugu State Police Command has commenced investigation into the alleged shooting and death of one Osondu Odoh, a 30-year-old supporter of Senator Ayogu Eze, the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate, who was not listed by the Independent National Electoral Commission for Saturday’s election.
The Spokesman of the command, SP Ebere Amaraizu, made the disclosure in a statement on Saturday.
The Command’s Public Relations Officer said Odoh, the senator’s supporter, was not an election observer as being erroneously believed and circulated by unconfirmed sources.
He, however, said the shooting took place at Eze’s residence in Igbo-Eze North Local Government Area of the state.
Amaraizu said: “The Command through its operatives has commenced a full scale investigations into the alleged shooting and death of one Osondu Odoh, aged 30 years.
“The deceased was believed to be at Ayogu Eze’s residence at Igbo-Eze North Local Government Area of Enugu state on Saturday, March 9.”
He said the victim was not an election observer but a supporter, adding: “The circumstance surrounding the incident are being investigated, the deceased body has been deposited at the mortuary.”
