Romelu Lukaku has completed his £75 million move to Manchester United.
The Belgian striker has signed a five-year contract at Old Trafford and becomes the fourth most expensive player in history in the process.
“Our latest box office signing is Made for Manchester,” posted the club on Monday afternoon.
Lukaku completed his medical in Los Angeles on Saturday night while United chiefs crashed out the paperwork with Everton.
The 24-year-old snubbed a return to his former club Chelsea in order to join United, despite the Blues offering to match the £75 million offer.
Lukaku is now expected to link up with his new United team-mates during their tour of the United States, which starts in LA this week.
Jose Mourinho said in a statement: “Romelu is a natural fit for Manchester United.
“He is a big personality and a big player. It is only natural that he wants to develop his career at the biggest club. He will be a great addition to the group and I know they will make him very welcome. I am really looking forward to working with him again.”
The deal is United’s second of the summer, after landing defender Victor Lindelof from Benfica last month.
Lukaku shared images of his medical taking place in LA before conducting his first interview since the speculation.
He also posted pictures of himself signing a young United fan’s shirt, saying: “First Manchester United fan I’ve met.. #Blessed #Thankful.”
