More information emerged from Zaria, Kaduna State where two churches were bombed this morning.
Sources said that soldiers stationed in the area were withdrawn about 24 hours ago.
The churches bombed were the Evangelical Church of West Africa, Wusasa and Christ the King Church, Sabon Gari.
It was learnt that the soldiers, said to be a part of the Joint Task Force, were withdrawn from the area on Saturday.
Eyewitnesses said they sighted an aircraft hovering over the church before the blast.
One of the sources said: “All soldiers earlier stationed in the area were evacuated 24 hours before the blast.
“Security arrived 40 minutes afterwards and fired sporadically into the air and arrested a suspected passerby.”
And from Kaduna, where another blast went off this morning, information filtering in has it that the Kaduna-Zaria Road has been blocked by youths on reprisal.
It was said to have been blocked at Kawo, by the overhead bridge.
Movement has come to a halt in the town, with many residents staying indoors.
