The Police Command in Ondo State says adequate security has been put in place during and after the yuletide.
ASP Tee Leo-Ikoro, the Commands’ spokesperson told the News Agency of Nigeria on telephone on Thursday that police officers have been posted to strategic points across the state to forestall any security breach.
He urged residents to cooperate with the police by keeping them abreast of any information of strange faces or movement that could cause security breaches.
He also urged motorists to ensure their vehicles are in good conditions before setting out on a journey to avoid breakdown of vehicles on dangerous spots, on the highway.
“We have deployed our men to strategic places across the state in order to beef up security before, during and after the yuletide.
“Residents should cooperate with themselves and ensure that they unite against anything or anybody that causes security threat at this crucial time.
“Also residents should also cooperate with the police and give necessary information immediately for our men to act fast in securing lives and property,’’ he said.
Leo-Ikoro, however, urged all residents to always abide by the FG’s precautionary measures on COVID-19 as they celebrate the yuletide.
