Youth development minister sacked over link to PDM

Information reaching The Eagle Online has it that the Minister of Youth Development, Alhaji Inuwa Abdulkadir, was sacked over his link to one of the newly registered political parties, the Peoples Democratic Movement.
Sources told The Eagle Online that Abdulkadir’s sack was to serve as a deterrent to others perceived not to be fully loyal to President Goodluck Jonathan.
Though he has not formally declared his interest, the body language of the President and the Presidency have glaringly shown that Jonathan is going to seek reelection in 2015.
And one of the platforms regarded as capable of giving Jonathan a serious fight is the PDM, which has been linked to a former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
It was gathered that security agents had tapped the telephone lines of the former minister for some weeks now and have been monitoring his conversations, especially with the leadership of the PDM.
The minister was said to have given his backing to the registration of the PDM and pledged his allegiance to the party.
A security source told The Eagle Online that the expectation of the President is for all those serving in his administration to be loyal to him the way the Minister of State for Education, Chief Nyesom Wike, has been.
Wike has been in the forefront of the confrontation of the Presidency with the Rivers State Governor, Hon. Rotimi Amaechi.
Amaechi is believed to also be interested in becoming the vice president to a Northern candidate for the presidency in 2015.
The source told The Eagle Online: “Wike has become the standard for loyalty now in the government.
“And Inuwa refused to be like Wike.
“So he got the sack.”
