A 37-year-old woman, Iyabode Ashogbonon, was, on Monday, arraigned before a Badagry Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos over alleged forgery and stealing.
The defendant, whose address was not provided, is standing trial on three counts of felony, forgery and stealing.
The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The Prosecutor, Insp Edet Ekpo, told the court that the defendant committed the offences in February at Ajara Dokoh, Badagry area of Lagos.

Ekpo said that the defendant conspired with others now at large, to commit felony to wit: forgery and stealing.
The prosecutor also said that the defendant knowingly made false documents that it might, in any way, be used as genuine, to the prejudice of the complainant, one Greenville Micro Finance Company.
He further told the court that the defendant stole the sum of N3,155,700, property of Greenville Micro Finance Company.
He said that the offences contravened Sections 411, 365 and 287 of the Criminal Law of Lagos state, 2015.
The Chief Magistrate, L A. Layeni, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N300,000, with two sureties in like sum.
Layeni adjourned the case till May 15 for mention.
