In his effort to resuscitate and diversify the economy of the state for enhanced and sustainable revenue generation, Governor Mohammed Abubakar of Bauchi State is pushing for sustained promotion of solid minerals development.
At present, there are well over 60 different kinds of minerals so far discovered in the state.
In light of the development, Lam Wing Ki Wilkins, a potential investor from China, visited the sites of some selected solid minerals like Kaoline, Quartz and Coal that exist in the State.
The Director General, Bauchi State Investment and Promotion Agency, Alhaji Aminu Musa, representing Abubakar, conducted the investor for expression of interest, around the minerals deposit locations in Gwaram, Futuk and Gokaru areas of Bauchi State.
Sequel to this, Wilkins indicated interest to partner with the State Government in exploiting opportunities for economic growth and development of the state.
