The convicts had pleaded guilty to the separate one-count charge preferred against them by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibadan zonal office.

Justice Okon Abang adjourned the matter after Katu told the court that he needed more time to enable him prepare adequately for Maina’s defence, since he was coming into the matter afresh.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission disclosed this in the counter-affidavit it filed against the bail application filed before a Federal High Court in Abuja by Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume.
