Embattled Super Eagles’ striker, Peter Odemwingie may be forced to stay at West Brom for another year.
The Nigerian forward, 31, has been having a strained relationship with the club for the last few months.
He famously travelled to QPR in January in an attempt to force a move to Loftus Road – and has been a hate figure at the club ever since.
Odemwingie still has a year to run out his contract and Crystal Palace, Swansea and Hull have all shown interest during the summer break.
But unless they meet the Baggies’ £3m asking price, he will stay put. Chairman Jeremy Peace said: “We have a player who is under contract until the end of the upcoming season.less something comes in to change our way of thinking he will be back in pre-season and we will deal with that.”
He added: “Unless we get an offer we’re happy with we won’t sell him.”
Meanwhile, Baggies midfielder Graham Dorrans, 26, may also remain at The Hawthorns despite being transfer-listed in January.
Sporting and technical director Richard Garlick said: “At the moment he’s staying with us.”
