The Federal Government on Monday urged the public to remain calm and await its final decisions on the restructuring of government parastatal and agencies.
This was contained in a statement issued in Abuja and signed by Sam Nwaobasi, Special Assistant (Media) to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
It said the attention of the Federal Government had been drawn to widespread speculations on the report of the Presidential Committee on the Restructuring and Rationalisation of Government Parastatals, Commissions and Agencies led by Steve Oronsaye.
“Government wishes to clarify that the report of the Oronsaye-led committee as submitted to the government, is undergoing the process of consideration,” it stated.
The statement said that after the process of consideration, government’s decision on the report will be gazetted and made public.
