The sleepy town of Ibafo, Ogun State is set to explode on Saturday as the award winning and multi talented Fuji singer, Wasiu Alabi Pasuma; Queen of Waka music, Salawa Abeni; and Adekunle Temitope, otherwise known as Small Doctor, are set to thrill fans and guests at Hi-Impact Planet Amusement Park’s organized African Nite.
The appearance of the trio was confirmed in a statement by the Assistant General Manager of the company, Nneka Elege.
Elege said in the statement: “The African Nite is part of the numerous events lined up for the enjoyment of guests and fans during the coming Christmas season.
“The African Nite is designed to celebrate the richness of Africa through her music, fashion, dance and delicious cuisines and with the growing popularity the event has garnered over the last three years, we are so delighted to feature some of the most popular and culture rooted African musicians and this year’s event is the third in the series.”
Elege explained that Wasiu Alabi Pasuma, the Oganla and Orobokibo king crooner, with his modern, trendy Hip Pop Fuji music and Queen Salawa Abeni’s vocal and percussion style are so fascinating to both old and young to guarantee a thrilling night.
To guarantee safety of lives and properties before, during and after the event as well as free flow of traffic, the organisers have concluded arrangements to deploy men of the Nigerian mobile police, the bomb disposal squad, regular police, private security guards and traffic management officers.
Other events lined up for the nine days long programme include Karaoke Night, Movies Night, Family Game Night, Christmas Carnival, Praise Blast (Gospel Concert) and Comedy Night.
