Toronto FC of America has re-resigned Nigerian international Bright Dike.
The striker’s signing would provide the club with another useful attacking option in the Major Soccer League.
Dike has scored one goal in nine games (five starts) for the Reds since arriving via trade from the Portland Timbers in September 2013.
His time in Toronto has been marred by a torn Achilles sustained early on in 2014, ruling him out for several months over the summer.
The injury also kept him from taking part in Nigeria’s World Cup campaign.
The Oklahoma City-born 27-year-old has seven career MLS goals in 32 appearances (14 starts) since joining Portland ahead of the club’s inaugural MLS season in 2011 after a prolific NCAA career at Notre Dame.
