Davido, Tiwa Savage, Flavour and Clarence Peters were the four Nigerian artistes that won several awards on Saturday night in Durban, South Africa at the MTV Music Awards.
Nigerian music star, Davido, outshone his fellow country man, Wizkid, Anselmo Ralph (Angola), Diamond (Tanzania) and Donald of (South Africa) to get the award in the Best Male Act category.
It was indeed a glorious event as Marvin Entertainment’s signee and MTN brand Ambassador, Tiwa Savage, shone like a super star at the awards night when she won the Best Female Act.
The Kelekele Lover crooner beat other African stars such as Chindinma (Nigeria), DJ’ndo (South Africa) and Efya (Ghana) to clinch the diadem.
That is not all.
Highly talented Nigerian music director, Clearance Peters, also made Nigeria proud when he won the award for the Beast Music Video for Bjurna Boy’s Banging Hit: Run my Race.
Contemporary highlife act, Flavour, also clinched an award for Best Live Act.
Flavour beat legendary 2face Idibia, Fally Pupa (DRC), Dr Malinga (South Afirca) and Zakes Batwini (South Africa).
