Malam Abubakar Aliyu, the state Deputy Governor and Chairman, State Environmental Protection Committee, disclosed this on Thursday in Damaturu while launching a campaign against illegal tree felling and environmental protection.

The summit, which attracted participants from both within and outside Nigeria, was organised by the HEDA Resource Centre, PremiumTimes Centre for Investigative Reporting, with collaboration from the House of Representatives’ Committee on Financial Crimes.
