Governor Makinde, who made the declaration in a statewide broadcast to residents of the state, aired on the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State, asked residents to come together and put the interest of Oyo State first in the fight against insecurity.

The governor equally stated that his administration is ready to partner with Korea International Cooperation Agency on quality education service delivery in the state.
Makinde maintained that the contributions of the late engineer to the ongoing infrastructure development drive in the state were remarkable.
The governor stated this while receiving the holder of the World Boxing Federation’s Super Featherweight title, Ridwan Oyekola, aka Scorpion, in Ibadan, the state capital.

He added that the Armed Forces Remembrance Day must be a constant reminder of the great sacrifices that ex-servicemen and gallant fallen heroes made to secure our nation.
The governor, who was represented by his Deputy, Engr. Rauf Olaniyan, stated this at the launch of the Appeal Week Emblem for the 2021 Armed Forces Remembrance Day Celebration, held at the House of Chiefs, Parliament Building, Secretariat, Ibadan.
The governor condoled with the immediate family of the late don, who was his lecturer at UNILAG, UNILAG community and Tech-U management.
The governor maintained that despite various events that set the state back economically, the state government was still able to record a huge reduction in the infrastructure deficit of the state.
