The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the 13 governors are; Gov. Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto, Gov. Samuel Ortom of Benue state, Douye Diri of Bayelsa, Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia, Emmanuel Udom of Akwa Ibom, Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu.
The leaders visited by the Governor included the Chief Imam of Ibadanland, Alhaji Abdul-Ganiy Agbotomokekere; Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Kwara and Delta States, Alhaji Dawud Makanjuola Akinola; a former Governor of Oyo State, Chief Rashidi Ladoja; Seriki Musulumi of Yorubaland, Alhaji Yekini Adeojo; and Chief Kola Daisi.
The governor, who stated this while delivering a speech at the 2nd Circularity Africa Conference, held at the International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan, Ibadan, added that the government and the people of the state are seeing results in the areas of education, health, security and expansion of the state’s economy.
The governor, who stated this while hosting the Muslim Ummah in the state at his residence in Ibadan, added that his government has continued to be fair and just to all religions and that he has always ensured that merit and excellence were considered for appointments and recruitments in the state.
Makinde said it is a thing of joy that Muslims and non-Muslims have witnessed another celebration of Eid-el-Fitri, calling for prayers to end insecurity in the country.
