A soldier was killed in a robbery attack in Benin on Wednesday, the police confirmed on Thursday.

The attack was carried out on Tuesday night at Phase 4, Federal Secretariat Gunction, Three Arms Zone, FCT, Abuja.
Police Public Relations Officer in the FCT, DSP Josephine Adeh, made the disclosure in a statement issued in Abuja on Sunday.
In a statement on Monday by the Command’s Spokesman, Adekunle Ajisebutu; the Commissioner of Police, in the state, Hakeem Odumosu, directed Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, field and tactical commanders to reinforce police presence within the axis.
