Speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria in Port Harcourt on Thursday, Chris Green, Special Adviser to Governor Nyesom Wike on Real Madrid Football Academy, said the talents were discovered while screening candidates for admission into the academy.

Ebeku made the observation on Monday in Port Harcourt during the Academy’s screening of prospective students, saying the unfortunate act was on the basis of what their parents taught them.
Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, while inaugurating the academy, also unveiled the ultra-modern football training facility.
This was done in the presence of officials of Real Madrid Football Club and Rivers State Government
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the ground breaking ceremony of the Academy was jointly performed by officials of Real Madrid Football Club and CAF.
Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers assured sports stakeholders at the foundation laying at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium, Port Harcourt that the academy would be inaugurated in seven months’ time.
