The NPA’s Managing Director, Hadiza Bala-Usman, made the appeal at the NPA Special Day at the ongoing 29th Enugu International Trade Fair in Enugu on Saturday.
Aboyeji said: “When Apapa Port started operation in 1970, it was only made for 30,000 cargoes, but now it has over 80,000 cargoes, yet no infrastructural development.
The General Manager, Corporate and Strategic Communications of NPA, Alhaji Abdullahi Goje, said in a statement in Lagos that the disclosure was based on the directive of the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council.
The NPA therefore on Monday reiterated that only eight Federal Government agencies are allowed to operate and have physical representation at all port locations in the country.
Usman said this on Friday in a statement issued by the Authority’s Spokesman, Alhaji Abdullahi Goje, after the Quarterly meeting of the NPA Management and stakeholders in Lagos.
