Olukolu told the News Agency of Nigeria in a telephone conversation that the victim was released in the early hours of Wednesday.

The suspect; Kunle Afolabi, 31, an ex-convict from Oye-Ekiti, Ekiti State, was arrested by the operatives around 4am on Friday in CMS after escaping from Broad Street, Lagos Island, where he had gone to vandalise a Toyota Corrolla belonging to a Deacon of First Baptist Church, Broad Street, Lagos.
He said: “Those arrested are Aminu Rahamawa, (19), Abdullahi Bature (23), and Kabiru Iliyasu, the son of a businessman in Jibia town of the state.”
