According to the Lagos Assembly Speaker, without Tinubu’s pioneering efforts at raising the standard of governance for the state, Lagos would not have risen to this greater height it is enjoying today.

The resolution followed a motion moved by Gbolahan Yishawu, the Chairman, House Ad hoc Committee on Budget and Economic Planning, under Matters of Urgent Public Importance
The community at a rally in Agege agreed that Ambode should be re-elected to continue in office as Governor of Lagos State; Obasa should be supported to return as the Speaker of the state House of Assembly; and Ogundimu should be re-elected as member representing Agege Constituency 2 in the state House of Assembly.
More than 2,000 pupils and teachers benefitted from the event held at the school premises on Tuesday where exercise books and pens were shared out by the foundation.
This was contained in the congratulatory message the Speaker sent to the Vice President on his 61st birthday on behalf of members of the House.
He observed that since the State is constrained by law not to regulate the influx of people, it will do everything possible to make its population growth an asset rather than a liability.
It is to provide for the development and management of a sustainable transport system in Lagos State and for other connected purposes.
The invitation followed the adoption of the report of its 16-man ad hoc committee for the screening of the nominees
In his condolence message to the Tinubu Family and the Akinwunmi Ambode-led Lagos State Government, Obasa prayed to God to give the deceased a peaceful rest and the family as well as the state government the fortitude to bear the huge loss.
Obasa gave the assurance while commenting on the timely submission of the budget report by Mr Yishawu Gbolahan, the Chairman, House Committee on Budget and Economic Planning, on the 2018 Appropriation Bill.
They also heaped praises on the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa; the representative of Agege State Constituency 2 in the state House of Assembly, Hon. Oluyinka Ogundimu; and the newly appointed state Commissioner for Waterfront Infrastructure Development, Dr. Samuel Adejare, for the positive roles they played in bringing the project to fruition.
The Speaker’s commendation was contained in his New Year message released in Lagos on Sunday by his Chief Press Secretary, Musbau Rasak.
The House read the bill for the third time and passed it through a voice vote conducted by the Speaker, Mudashiru Obasa.

Akinwunmi Ambode, the Governor of Lagos State, gave the advice on Wednesday during the inauguration of the new NURTW state secretariat at Agege, Lagos.
The committee members are: Yinka Ogundimu, the Acting Chairman, House Committee of Finance; Moshood Oshun, Acting Chairman, House Committee of Public Accounts (State); and Jude Idimogu.
