This followed the decision of the Lagos State Assembly not to confirm 17 of the 39 commissioner-nominees sent to it.
Daily Trust gathered that the lawmakers who had earlier berated the list when it was submitted weeks ago, confirmed 22 names.
The House also expressed its disappointment with the exclusion of nominees from local government areas in the list.
The Clerk, Lekan Onafeko, read Sanwo-Olu’s letter requesting confirmation of the nominee at the plenary presided by the Speaker, Mudashiru Obasa in Lagos Thursday.
The case, which was initially fixed for continuation of trial Thursday, could not go on, while a new date was expected to be issued to parties.

Obasa, along with many All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates were returned elected in the March 18 state House of Assembly elections, while the party’s governorship candidate, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, also got re-elected.
The lawmakers further noted that even though the policy was a good one, its timing was wrong as it had further thrown the country into economic chaos which could become difficult to resolve if urgent steps are not taken.
The lawmakers made the resolution Monday after deliberating on a report submitted by the Chairman, House Committee on Health Services, Olusola Sokunle.
