At a sitting on Tuesday, the Speaker of the House, Mudashiru Obasa, directed that the petition be transmitted to the Federal Government and the National Assembly.
The new bill, which was debated on the floor of the House at a sitting presided over by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, is titled: “A Bill for a law to repeal the law to provide for the payment of pensions and other fringe benefits to public office holders in Lagos State and for other connected matters.”
The Commissioner for Justice, Moyosore Onigbanjo, made this known on Wednesday in Ikeja during the 2021 Ministerial Press Briefing in Commemoration of the Second Year in Office of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu
The House also said it was standing by the decisions reached by the Southern Governors at their recent meeting in Asaba, Delta State.
