The Head of the Family, Chief Olanrewaju Abiola, made the demand on President Muhammadu Buhari at the family house in Abeokuta.

One of the things that President Muhammadu Buhari would be fondly remembered for, after his tour of duty, would be the recognition of the significance of June 12 and its rightful placement in our national diary.
The sad event truly changed the narrative of Nigeria’s political landscape, culminating in the crisis that led to the death of many innocent people in the country. The struggle for the actualisation of the June 12 election became a sort of worry for some people, paving the way for today’s democracy.
