Akani was reacting to Joy Udo-Gabriel’s feat of a bronze medal in the 100m and a gold medal in the women’s 4x100m relay in the 2018 Confederation of African Athletics Championships in Asaba, Delta.
Nigerian sprinter, Joy Udo-Gabriel, on Thursday said there was still room for improvement in her performances, in spite of winning a bronze medal at the ongoing 21st Africa Senior Athletics Championships.
The 18-year-old Udo-Gabriel told a news conference in Lagos that since she got the sponsorship in 2016, she had been able to combine schooling with sports.
