In a statement issued on Tuesday by the Special Assistant to the Governor on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, Fayose reiterated his fear that “democracy in Nigeria is being threatened by INEC and this should call for national and international reflection”.
He said: “Lovers of democracy in Nigeria and the entire world should be worried that after conducting inconclusive elections in Rivers State in March this year, INEC postponed conclusion of the elections twice

The Election is to be supervised by the National Commissioner in charge of the North East geopolitical zone, Baba Shettima Arfo.
To man the election, the Commission will deploy: one Returning Officer, 47 Collation Officers, 34 Supervising Presiding Officers, 341 Presiding Officers, 1,431 Assistant Presiding Officers (APOs I, II, III), 242 Assistant Presiding Officers and 84 Reserve APOs.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Commission’s FCT Resident Electoral Commissioner, Prof. Jacob Jatau, on Monday in Abuja.
INEC had declared elections in Kuje, Abuja Municipal Area Council, Gwagwalada and Abaji Area Councils to be inconclusive
