The Governor made the pronouncement as part of his address to workers at the 2024 Workers Day Celebration.

It also banned the use of vehicles without plates and licences as well as the use of sirens by unauthorised persons.
He said the two men intended to bring disgrace and destruction to the state through their unreasonable litigations.
Nwifuru gave the assurance at the Christian Ecumenical Centre, Abakaliki, during the elders and widows party in the capital city.
He spoke at a media chat to mark Nigeria’s 63rd Independence celebration and 27 years of the state’s creation.
Nwifuru made the call on Saturday while receiving his predecessor and Minister of Works, Chief David Umahi.
“The cliché: `to err is human and to forgive, divine’ will not apply in this administration,’’ he warned while swearing in the political appointees of his administration.

Nwifuru stated this during a special thanksgiving service Sunday in his home church, St. Emmanuel Catholic Parish, Edukwuachi Agbaja in Izzi local government area of the state.
