The communities are: Ajah, LBS, Sangotedo-Abijo, Awoyaya, Oribanwo, Lakowe, Bogije and Kajola.
The DisCos made the announcement in separate statements on Sunday to sensitise their customers on the increase.
The Chief Executive Officer (EKEDC), Dr Tinuade Sanda, made the appeal during a customer engagement forum organised by the company Thursday in Lagos.
This was made known in a statement signed by the EKEDC Head of Corporate Communications & Strategy, Babatunde Lasaki.
Godwin Idemudia, General Manager, Corporate Communications, said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria.
The firm, according to a press release, made the pledge at the customer engagement forums held on November 10 and 17 respectively, in continuation of its strategic plan to engage electricity consumers across its franchise area for improved service delivery based on feedback.
Held at the Space Pad, Peugeot Building at Agungi, Lekki-Epe Expressway, Lagos, the forum was attended by residents of Lekki and its environs.

The meeting, held on Thursday, had many Community Development Associations executives and customers present.

The electricity Distribution Company said it aims to use the two-week on-the-spot application to speed up the metering of its customers in those areas.
