The training which started on September 6th in Ibadan, had participants drawn from the all local government Universal Basic Education Authorities in the state.
The Executive Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board, Dr. Nureni Adeniran, told the News Agency of Nigeria in Ibadan on Tuesday that there had also been massive infrastructure development and quality assurance in the sector.
Adeniran made the appeal on Friday while receiving members of NAPTAN at the board’s headquarters in Ibadan.
Stating that the best period to lay the foundation for quality education is the first ten years, the Deputy Governor noted that many of Nigeria’s leaders were products of the public primary education system.
The commendation was made by the deputy chairman of the committee, Hon. Usman Zanna (APC, Borno), after the committee inspected projects in the state.
The Chairman of Oyo SUBEB, Dr. Nureni Adeniran, said this when he played host to members of the State Executive Council of the Nigeria Union of Teachers, led by the Chairman of the union, Comrade Samson Adedoyin.
Adeniran stated this at an interactive session with journalists in Ibadan where he recounted the activities of the board in spite of disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
