In May, the earlier unveiled Olu of Warri-designate, Prince Tsola Emiko, son of Atuwatse II, the 19th Olu of Warri Kingdom, had proceeded on the 90-day compulsory seclusion ahead of his official coronation, which is now slated for next month.
Chief Emami had approached the court to challenge his alleged suspension by a section of the Ginuwa I Ruling House as well as the process that led to the selection of Prince Tsola Emiko as the Olu-designate.
Emami spoke in a statement by the Spokesman of Ologbotsere descendants worldwide, Alex Eyengho.
Emami stated this on Saturday at his Warri private palace while offering prayers for Ologbotsere descendants
This was disclosed by the spokesman of the Ologbotsere Descendants worldwide, Comrade Alex Eyengho in Warri on July 5, 2021.
Pressure is being mounted by Ologhotsere descendants for Emami to approach the court with a single application or join already filed suit challenging the enstoolment of the Prince.
The decision to issue the ultimatum was taken at a well-attended meeting of the Ologbotsere Descendants held in Warri on Sunday, June 20, 2021, even as the general public and the Itsekiri in particular were urged to remain calm over the invasion of the Delta State High Court 4 by suspected thugs during the hearing of a suit filed by Prince Bernard Emiko and Prince Oyowoli Emiko over the succession to the Olu of Warri throne.
This took place at a well-attended meeting of the body in Warri on June 9, 2021 and presided over by the Ologbotsere of Warri Kingdom, Chief Ayirimi Emami.
It was learnt that the invitation to the Ologbotsere is coming just as the Delta State Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa in a dramatic twist extended his condolence to the Itsekiri nation over the now controversial demise of the Olu of Warri, His Royal Majesty, Ogiame Ikenwoli.
The Commissioner for Information, Charles Aniagwu, stated this on Tuesday shortly after the State Executive Council meeting presided by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa in Asaba.
Chief Emami spoke in reaction to reports credited to Femi Adesina, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, entitled: “President Buhari greets Itsekiri Nation on Olu-designate, mourns departed monarch,” on Tuesday.
