The Chairman of Birnin Gwari Progressives Union, Salisu Haruna, revealed this in a statement on Monday, calling for help from the bandits laying siege to their communities.
This was also as the bandits again kidnapped 10 other persons the same day.
The Command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Muhktar Aliyu, told the News Agency of Nigeria that the incident happened on Tuesday afternoon around 2pm
In a petition addressed to Amnesty International, a copy of which was made available to PRNigeria in Abuja, the stakeholders regretted that the Kaduna State Government has abandoned them to their fate, hence the recent killings and kidnappings and called on the international human rights body to wade into the crisis before the community is decimated.
The attack had also left 71 people dead while several others had sustained various degree of injuries.
According to Birnin-Gwari Vanguards for Security and Good Governance, about 45 dead bodies were evacuated by brave vigilantes and volunteers, numbering 500, with assistance of a handful soldiers on Sunday afternoon
