The candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the 2019 governorship election in Enugu State, Senator Ayogu Eze paid an unscheduled visit to ailing legendary musician, Mike Ejeagha.
Announcing the result in Enugu, the Chairman of the Election Committee, Prof. Moses Momoh said that of the 66,122 votes cast in the direct primary, Eze scored 53, 967 votes to defeat four other contestants.
Describing the victory as “a final divine seal on the mandate unanimously given to Governor Ugwuanyi”, the group in a statement signed by its Coordinator, Chief Willy Ezugwu, urged Ayogu Eze to join hands with the governor to deepen good governance in the state.
And in some extreme cases, some persons otherwise held in honour and esteem by the populace have done things that tended to circumvent the growth and stability of this democracy that we all cherish, exposing in a single breadth such character and attitude that one will not ordinarily attribute to them
