The lawmakers who passed the resolution during plenary on Tuesday said the closure of the drug Market had put the livelihood of no fewer than 10,000 traders, apprentices, and their dependants in danger.

The transition committees are to manage the administration of local government areas for three months in the first instance.

The lawmakers, Messrs Douglas Egbuna (Onitsha North I) and John Nwokoye (Awka North), announced their defection at plenary in Awka Tuesday.
