The Minister of State for Environment, Alhaji Ibrahim Jibril, made this known at the 3rd National Biosafety Conference, organise by the National Biosafety Management Agency.
Jibril, who was represented by Dr. Shehu Ahmed, the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, recalled that the ministry submitted a Memorandum of Understanding to the Federal Executive Council on the ratification of Minamata Convention on Mercury
