Speaking at a stakeholders’ meeting held at Lagos House in Alausa, Ikeja to sensitize owners of hotels, restaurants, bars and event centres in the State on the new regulation, the State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, said automation of the system was introduced to address the high level of under-payment and non-remittance of what is due to government, however, assuring that it would be a win-win situation for all parties.

Ambode, who was represented by his Deputy, Dr Idiat Adebule, gave the advice at the 10th Annual Nurses Scientific Conference held by the State Health Service Commission in Lagos.
Ambode gave the directive shortly after paying his personal Land Use Charge at the Guaranty Trust Bank in Opebi area of Ikeja.
The APC Caucus in the House, led by the Majority Leader, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, who presented a letter to the Governor at Lagos House in Alausa, Ikeja asking him to re-contest in 2019, said the decision to unanimously endorse Ambode for a second term was as a result of his brilliant performance in office in the last two and half years.
The governor said the gesture was in fulfillment of the promise he made in June 2016 to join the fight against cancer.
Ambode was nominated for the award after a careful selection process by a selection board, which considered him the most qualified for the award based on his performance in the last two and half years in office, especially in good governance.
Speaking at Lagos House in Alausa, Ikeja when he inaugurated the new boards of the Lagos State Sports Commission and the Lagos State Sports Trust Fund, Ambode emphasized the need for the private sector to partner with the government to invest in sports development especially in training talents that abound in the country, as well as putting necessary infrastructures in place.
“There is no point reconstructing the Airport Road if it is not extended to this point, and the extension will also complement the ongoing project within the market,” Ambode told traders at the Ladipo spare parts market.
He was addressing the traders during an inspection tour of some ongoing projects in the state.

Speaking at Lagos House in Alausa, Ikeja when he received the new General Officer Commanding, 81 Division of the Nigerian Army, Major General Enebong Okon Udoh, on a courtesy visit, Ambode said though a lot had been achieved in securing the State in the last 32 months, the State Government would nonetheless continue to support military operations designed to ensure residents go about their social and economic activities without let or hindrance.
Ambode said this in Enugu on Friday during a visit to his Enugu State counterpart, Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, en route the burial of the former Vice President, Dr. Alex Ekwueme.
Speaking in Anambra State during the burial service held at St. John The Divine Church, Anglican Communion, Oko, Ambode described the late Ekwueme as a highly principled Nigerian and thoroughbred professional who inspired many professionals to go into politics.

Speaking at the Enugu Government House located at Independence Layout where he was received by top government functionaries, Ambode said since assumption of office, concerted efforts have been made to maintain peace and harmony in the State.
In a statement by the State’s Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Ade Akinsanya, the Government said the construction of the 181 council roads was in fulfillment of the promise by Governor Akinwunmi Ambode to open up more inner roads across the State following the successful delivery of the 114 roads in September 2016.
Ambode, who spoke at the commissioning of the Courts at GRA in Ikeja, noted that economic crimes and sex-related offences had become too rampant, hence the establishment of dedicated courts to handle such matters for quick dispensation of justice.
