The International Vocational, Technical and Entrepreneurship College, Ajase-Ipo, has matriculated no fewer than 199 students for the special certificate programme in the first circle of the 2018/2019 academic session.

The confirmation was contained in a statement released by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Media and Communication, Dr. Muyideen Akorede, in Ilorin on Wednesday.
The proposed partnership with the state government was disclosed on Monday by the World Bank Senior Education Specialist, Dr. Tunde Adekola, during the institution’s facility tour of the International Vocational, Technical and Entrepreneurship College in Ajase-Ipo.
The number includes indigent students, who are beneficiaries of the scholarship provided by the Kwara State Government and drawn from the 16 local governments of the state.
Speaking with newsmen at the College on Wednesday, the acting rector, Dr Ade Somide, disclosed that the training is an empowerment programme by the Kwara State Government in partnership with the contractor handling the Light up Kwara project, Riccofortezza-Asteven Energy Limited.
