Lawan made the remarks in Abuja at the opening of the 5th Conference of Network of African Parliamentarians Members of Defence and Security Committees.

According to Lawan, despite several invitations extended by the Local and Foreign Debt Committee of the Senate, the MDAs have consistently refused to appear to justify projects listed to be funded through the loan requests sought by President Buhari.
Lawan stated this on Tuesday during plenary in his remarks to honour the deceased.

Lawan made this known on Thursday in a speech delivered during the presentation of the 2022 budget to the National Assembly
Lawan stated this in his remarks after the chamber approved President Muhammadu Buhari’s submission of the revised 2022-2024 fiscal framework.
“What the Federal government needs in the sub-nationals is partnership, cooperation and development together,” Lawan said shortly before he formally commissioned the 25Km Uyo-Ikot Ekpene road in Akwa Ibom State.
Lawan spoke at an investigative hearing by Senate joint committee on education (Basic & Secondary) and Tertiary Institutions and TETFUND on the utilisation of the funding proposed and budgeted for the Safe Schools Initiative, including monies, supports and donations received from foreign government and agencies.
Lawan, in a message, felicitates all Nigerians on the occasion of the 61st Independence Anniversary of the country.
The event is part of the activities to mark the Oluyin of Iyin’s first coronation anniversary.
The decision to defer the presentation and consideration was reached during following a motion moved to that effect by the Senate Leader, Sen. Yahaya Abdullahi (APC-Kebbi), and seconded by the Minority Leader, Sen. Eyinnaya Abaribe (PDP-Abia).
