The Kwara State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party has said it would not accept back into its fold the President of the Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, and the Kwara State Governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed, even if the National Executive Committee of the party insists on it doing so.

The Force Headquarters says Senate President, Bukola Saraki, has a case to answer in connection with the April 5 armed bank robbery in Offa, Kwara, which claimed 31 lives.
Abdulwahab had been held in police custody in Abuja since June 2, 2018 after he responded to police invitation over his alleged link with suspects who carried out robbery attacks on commercial banks in Offa on April 5, 2018, leading to the death of no fewer than 33 persons, including nine policemen.

Governor Ahmed made the remarks during an interaction with traditional rulers from Kwara South Senatorial District of the State on Wednesday at the Government House, Ilorin.
The event holds by 9am at the Kwara State Banquet Hall, according to a statement by Senior Special Assistant on Media and Communications to the Governor, Dr. Muideen Akorede, on Wednesday.
The Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Isiaka Gold, who disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday, said the establishment of the task force followed Governor Ahmed’s assent to the amendment Bill prohibiting the production, transportation, storage or sale of charcoal in the State.
In a condolence message signed by his Chief Press secretary, AbduIwahab Oba, Ahmed said the death of Hajiya Aisha “at a time when his son, Alhaji Kawu Baraje, is leading a political reformation and realignment in the country is such a devastating and shocking news”.
Ahmed gave the commendation on Tuesday at the Government House in Ilorin while hosting the royal fathers.
The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Media and Communication, Dr Muyideen Akorede, disclosed this at a press briefing on Thursday at the Government House, Ilorin following the State Executive Council meeting.
Speaking at the ceremony, which held at the Council Chamber of the Government House, Ilorin, ahead of the State Executive Council meeting, Ahmed said the appointment of the advisers demonstrates his administration’s determination to put in place a stronger machinery which will assist in meeting the aspirations of the people.
Ahmed made the call on Sunday when the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, paid the annual Sallah homage to the Government House.
“As we mark the end of the holy month of Ramadan, let’s remember and pray for our brothers and sisters who were unfortunate victims of the Offa robbery. Let’s remember their families, friends and associates in our prayers and generosities,” the governor said.
