A suspended member representing Mubi South in the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Abdulrahaman Isa, has apologized to Governor Muhammadu Umaru Jibrilla Bindow and his colleagues over what he termed “a fruitless battle that will not yield any tangible results to the state”.
Isa, who is back after a month’s suspension on the ground of passing wrong information to the people of the state, restated his apology to the House and says he wants to settle the issue amicably.
He pleaded for the forgiveness of all the members who have been feeling he hurt them based on utterances considered insulting and demeaning.
Recall that for more than two months there has been a sour relationship among the lawmakers, triggered by Isa’s allegation that his colleagues were collaborating with the executive to syphon money and loot the state treasury.
This was a statement that angered his co-lawmakers and led them to suspend him for passing wrong information to the people of the state, which they said was capable of denting them and even the Governor of the state.
Isa, in a telephone interview, said he was sorry for the trauma he brought to his colleagues by his outburst.
