The Sokoto State Government on Wednesday said public and private schools in the state would resume academic activities on October 13.
Alhaji Salihu Dogon-Daji, the Director of Inspectorate Services in the state Ministry of Education, disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Sokoto.
Dogon-Daji directed principals and headmasters of the schools to comply with the resumption date.
He urged parents to also comply with the directives as full academic activities would commence immediately.
Alhaji Garba Mohammad, a parent, commended the state government for the decision, saying that the postponement would enable government put in place measures to prevent out break of Ebola Virus Disease in public schools.
