Former Super Eagles’ defender, Yisa Shofoluwe, has lost his mother, Alhaja Sabitu Ashabi Sofoluwe.
Late Sabitu, aged 90, breathed her last on November 25 and has since been buried according to Islamic rites at her Itoko Oke Aleji home in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
She is survived by seven children and many grand children.
Late Sabitu, a dedicated Muslim, served in many committees at the Ansar-Ud-Deeen Society of Nigeria, Ebute Metta, Lagos State branch.
She was a famous food stuff dealer before diversifying into fruits merchandising.
The deceased son, Yisa Shofoluwe, fondly referred to as the ‘Minister of Defence’ in his active playing days, informed that the final burial ceremony has been fixed to hold in Abeokuta April 18, 2015.
