The Senator Magnus Abe’s Support Group in the Diaspora has declared support for the recent decision of the gubernatorial candidate of the Social Democratic Party in Rivers State to withdraw his petition from the Rivers State Elections Petitions Tribunal sitting in Abuja.
This was contained in a communique by its Coordinator, Charles Nwankwoala, and Secretary, Dumbari Tsaro Deezua.
The group said it has unanimously agreed to pledge its unflinching support to the Abe’s decision.
The communique reads: “On Sunday, May 7, 2023, the Senator Magnus Abe Support group in the diaspora had a congress meeting for an internal review of the just concluded elections in Rivers State, the ongoing litigations, withdrawal of his petition and to chart a way forward.
“The house unanimously agreed with the reasons for the withdrawal and hereby support the decision.
“We also wish to declare that we are firm, steady and solidly behind him in any subsequent public or political endeavours.”
