A close relative of a man, Ogaga Kome, who shot dead an 11-year-old boy, Hossanna Merritt, has handed him over to the Delta State Police Command.
The spokesman of the Command, Bright Edafe, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, confirmed this on Thursday.
It will be recalled that Kome, who was testing a gun, shot dead Merritt Ozoro community of the state on August 22, 2022 and fled.
Edafe said following the report received by the Divisional Police Officer, Ozoro Police Station, the state Command alerted members of the public to the incident and solicited information that will aid the arrest of the suspect.
He added: “Consequently, on August 30, 2022, about 13:05hrs, a well-meaning individual who is also a relative of the suspect brought him to the station.”
