As the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), started its 61st convention on Monday, the General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has urged participants to spend quality time praying if they must have an encounter with Jesus.
The convention with the theme “Jesus” is being held at the Church headquarters at the Redemption camp, KM 46, Lagos/Ibadan Expressway.
No fewer than 8,024 deacons and deaconesses have been ordained.
While acknowledging the goodness of God, Pastor Adeboye, said “This is one convention you will not forget in a hurry.
“Be focused, prayerful, determined not to leave the same way you have came. Avoid any sinful acts and do not miss any of the sessions”.
On Tuesday, Assistant Pastors would be ordained. The week-long programme would also feature seminars and plenary sessions.
