The management of Rangers International FC of Enugu has promised its players N300,000 bonus for them to defeat Dolphins FC of Port Harcourt in their Week Six league encounter.
Dolphins FC take on Rangers at the Liberation Stadium in Port Harcourt, Rivers State on Saturday.
The club’s General Manager, Paul Ozor, told the News Agency of Nigeria on the telephone that the bonus was to serve as an incentive for the team to win the encounter.
Ozor said the management had similarly doled out N500,000 to the players for the defeat of Kano Pillars FC in Enugu in the Nigeria Professional Football League.
He said: “We are expecting to get a win there, but the worse is a draw.
“The players have assured me that they will win.
“The match bonus they received for defeating Kano Pillars in Enugu motivated them in their 3-0 win of Nembe City.
“I have also promised them N300,000 if they defeat Dolphins in Port Harcourt.”
Rangers are currently occupying the seventh place on the NPFL log, with seven points from five matches, while Dolphins occupy the 12th place with five points.
