The Police Service Commission on Thursday announced the promotion of 5,115 Inspectors to the ranks of Assistant Superintendent of Police II.
This was contained in a statement issued by Ferdinand Ekpe, the Assistant Director of Press and Public Relations in the commission.
Ekpe said that 4,628 of the beneficiaries were General Duty officers, while the other 487 were specialists.
He said: “The promoted officers are those who were successful at the Departmental Selection Board interview.
“All the Promotions are with effect from December 31, 2013.”
The Chairman of the commission, Mike Okiro, has congratulated the newly promoted officers.
Okiro urged them to put in their best in providing security.
