A policeman attached to the Mobile Police Unit in Imo State, two cattle traders and three others have been arrested by the State Security Service in connection with the kidnap of Nollywood actress and Special Adviser to Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State, Nkiru Sylvanus.
Those arrested and paraded on Tuesday at the SSS Headquarters in Abuja were Ndidi Cletus, also known as Matthew Ofurum; Stanley Asouna; Aminu Musa; Muhammed Abubakar; Obinna Okolisa; and Samson Onwuka.
The parade of the suspects was jointly done by the SSS and the police.
Sylvanus was kidnapped on December 15, 2012 at about 7:30pm.
She was kidnapped alongside Uche Okoli and Kenneth Okoli at Nworie Street, Akanchawa Roundabout, Imo State by three gunmen.
The kidnappers of the actress got a ransom of N8 million before releasing her six days later.
