The Borno State Police Command has paraded four kidnap suspects before newsmen.
The Command’s Commissioner of Police, Abdu Umar, paraded the suspects on Thursday in Madiguri, the state capital.
The paraded suspects were Abdu Isa, Musa Haro, Wada Hassan and Saleh Bukar.
They were arrested in a joint operation between the police and local hunters.
They were arrested at Galadima Forest in Hawul Local Government Area of the state.
Umar also told newsmen that three members of an eight-man gang who kidnapped one Ardo Buba in Gur Village in Biu Local Government Area of the state had been arrested.
The gang took the victim to the bush and demanded N7 million ransom, he said.
He added: “Buba, whose legs had been chained and padlocked, escaped from the bush having noticed that the kidnappers had slept off.
“The victim identified one of the suspects, Alhaji Mohammed Bello, after they had been arrested.”
The Police Commissioner also paraded one Nsa Hensewa for abduction and trafficking of three children.
The police arrested 15 other suspects for vandalising conduit wires and other materials in buildings newly-constructed for internally displaced persons.
The buildings were those constructed by the UNDP in Mafa and those built by the Federal Government in Auno, both in Borno State.
