The Independent National Electoral Commission has declared Alhaji Dahiru Madaki of the Peoples Democratic Party as winner of Saturday’s election for Dutse/Kiyawa Federal Constituency seat in Jigawa State.
INEC Returning Officer, Prof. Musa Okpanachi, declared him as the winner of the poll in the early hours of Monday.
Madaki polled 47,836 votes.
Okpanachi said the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Abdullahi Kyamba, scored 36,718 votes.
The Returning Officer also announced that Shehu Muhammad of the New Nigeria Peoples Party scored 2,729 votes.
