The member representing Shendam/Mikang federal constituency, Hon Innocent Tirsel, on Tuesday said the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Plateau state has concluded arrangement to receive back all those who had defected to the opposition party.
According to him, the party doors are wide open to accommodate all the defectors who left the party in the state due to internal wrangling.
Addressing Journalists shortly after the stakeholders meeting at the presidential lounge of the Government House Rayfield, Jos , Tirsel said the stakeholders meeting was strictly on how to forge ahead and also to see how to accommodate those who are willing to return back to PDP as a political party .
According to him, the meeting is in line with the party constitution because it was signed by 2/3 members of PDP in the state working committee and that gave the legality for the meeting which is part of the constitutional provision for calling a meeting.
He, however, stressed that 2/3 is the constitutional requirement for a member of PDP to call for a meeting which he insisted is not outside the law.
The people of Plateau south deserve the governorship in 2015 so there is no two ways about it because other zones have enjoyed their tenure, he said.
